DIY Diamonds

Since the dawn of time, diamonds have had a powerful and hypnotic pull on the human mind. People of all cultures and of all times have been fascinated by these gems, because of their extreme beauty as well as their rarity and durability. The hardness, briliiance, and everlasting newness of diamonds cause them to be regarded as possessing qualities which transcend ordinary matter.

Today they find new relevance besides nanotubes and graphene in data storing technologies through quantum photonics. Therefore, one diamond can store hugh amounts of information in its highly compressed structure – enough to store identities of a whole dynasty.

It is a little wonder, that man would try to reproduce these stones and their fine characteristics. Through believing in alchemic experiments in a makeshift laboratory, based on a microwave, a compressor, some oil and some charcoal it is feasable to crystallize carbon after a couple of hours. What ever it is, on a revolutionary day it could give people belief to be a member of a higher class. A royalist as an enthuasic and obsessed character is creating many diamonds for the queen and for the public. He is starting to be a royal character through the force of diamonds, their potential to give strength in battle and to denote eternal faithfulness.
