Almanac

This was a site specific film commission for Cinema City in Norwich and uses their new digital facilities opened in early 2008. Throughout 2005 - 2006 five static digital time-lapse cameras were placed in diverse locations in East Anglia - all of which have been used for film and TV locations. Shooting at regular intervals each day, by the end of 12 months, the cameras recorded nearly one million frames, which were all fed into a bespoke dynamic database. Now installed, this database can configure and play a unique trailer from a randomly-selected camera, specific to the day on which you are watching it at the cinema.

Collaborators: Dorian Moore & Tim Olden

Commissioner: Cinema City, Norwich & the PRS foundation
