(from German lit.: well-being being)
Presuming that in the future we will have
a limited amount of resources, this project assumes that we will be obliged to distribute and balance these resources in new ways. By viewing electricity, plumbing and gas systems as one big networked organism we can make the conclusion that everything can effect everything. Simple but profound examples are the national energy peaks caused by the synchronized usage of the kettle during television advertisement breaks or a globally synchronized flush of the toilet during the half time in a soccer world cup final.
The idea of this project is to understand energy, water or gas-consuming domestic devices as an extremity of our global nervous system. Depending of the current status of the system, devices like the water tap are able to change their shape from healthy and powerful to ill and bloodless. This could lead to a more thoughtful and non-synchronized usage of our resources.
